- Enjoy a hearty Christmas dinner taking advantage of our 2 or 3-course set menu
- Head off on the magical Wensleydale Polar Express with the Wensleydale Railway
- Take a moment to relax, staying over in one of our cosy rooms and enjoying breakfast the next morning
- Explore the local countryside and admire the stunning winter views
It’s one of our favourite times of year for weekend getaways and woodland walks. Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors means we’re surrounded by gorgeous countryside and an endless number of routes to wander, whether you’re an experienced hiker or a more relaxed rambler, before retreating back to our cosy pub.
A lovely walk which is just a 20 minutes drive from us is around the picturesque Cod Beck Reservoir. It’s a flat circular route just shy of 2 miles – perfect for a Sunday morning stroll – or you can also extend the walk by going further through the moors and woodlands!
Whatever way you choose to spend your time, why not pay us a visit afterwards for dinner while you’re nearby, or join us for lunch before heading out for the afternoon – we’d love to have you.
